To Do List When Visiting Lahore

 Lahore, a city of Pakistan which is full of history and architecture. The awesome vibes found in Lahore are found nowhere else. Its heated up, yet relieving atmosphere cannot be described in words but only be felt. All I can say about it is "LAHORE LAHORE AY!"

No doubt the beauty of Lahore cannot be admired all at once but in this article the things which should not be missed at any cost are mentioned. The below mentioned places are the main reason of the glamour of this city.

1. Bhag-e-Jinnah

A fresh up morning in Lahore can be made more refreshing by visiting Bhag-e-Jinnah in the early morning. Bhag-e-Jinnah is a historical park also known as Lawrence Garden. It is full of beautiful plants and many sport facilities which can make your morning fresh and healthy for you. If not more, a jog in the park can leave you vigorous. 

2. Badshahi Mosque

Who can miss the Golden Chance of admiring the beauty of this antique piece when in Lahore? Literally No-one! After a beautiful start of the morning from Bhag-e-Jinnah and having a delicious Halwa Puri in breakfast, Badshahi mosque is the best place to start your memorable tour. This mosque is an important example of Mughal architecture. So anyone interested in history will adore this place. Its beautiful interior and its charm will amaze you. The vibes present here will leave you astonished. 

3. Minar-e-Pakistan

The national monument reflecting a blend of Mughal/Islamic and modern architecture.  A soul touching view of this beautifully designed tower will become a part of your memory. This place cannot be skipped at all when visiting Lahore as this is the most preferred part of this city. After viewing the historical structure of badshahi mosque, this modern looking structure will impress you and intrigue you to discover more about this city.

4. Shahi Bethak

Visiting Lahore but not enjoying the food, how is that even possible? Lahore is known for its delicious and spicy food. Lahori people are fond of spices. 

Shahi Bethak situated at Akbari Mandi is a well known restaurant in Lahore. Although all the foods must be tried but Paye are a must. This dish contains trotters of a cow, goat, buffalo or sheep, cooked with various spices and herbs. Paye are enjoyed with naan or roti. Aroma of this dish will make your mouth watery and will become your desire once you eat it.

5. Wagah Border

What next? A parade at Wagah Border, woahhh!!!  Sounds exciting, right? Yes it is exciting. The neighboring countries India and Pakistan gather at this place daily at 5 pm. A parade takes place along with lowering of flags. National anthems and national songs are played and an atmosphere of patriotism is spread.  The spirit, cheering and applause of both countries make the occasion more enjoyable and musical. This can freshen you up and take away the tiredness of the day and make you excited for the rest of the day. 

6. Joyland

Besides the history. and architecture, the city of Lahore is filled with fun and exciting nights. Joyland is an amusement park filled with entertainment and thrill. Different rides will amuse you and special kind of snacks will soothe you. The night becomes entertaining at this place. The rides will give you goosebumps but your heart will want more and more entertainment. The time spent at this place will be unforgettable.

In case you are visiting Lahore in march, then do not forget to visit the special festival of the year, Mela Chiraghan( the festival of light).  It is a three-day annual festival to mark the urs( death anniversary) of Punjabi poet and Sufi saint Shah Hussain at the shrine of Shah Hussain. People from all over the country attend this festival. They lay floral wreaths at the graves of Shah Hussain and Madho Lal, perform dhamal at the shrine, light up candles and distribute langar(food). This festival is the 2nd largest festival and most important. The view is just mesmerizing,
